National Rural Health Day, observed on Thursday, Nov. 16, is an annual occasion dedicated to recognizing the unique health care challenges faced by rural communities across the U.S. This day serves as an opportunity to honor the contributions of rural health care providers and organizations, highlighting their efforts to improve access to quality health care.

National Rural Health Day 2023 is an occasion to celebrate the resilience, dedication and innovation of Missouri’s rural hospitals. As these health care institutions continue to navigate unique challenges, their commitment to providing quality health care services remains unwavering. Through community engagement, technological advancements and collaborative efforts, Missouri’s rural hospitals are making significant strides in improving health care access and outcomes for residents in every corner of the state.

ATTEND: NETEC is hosting a webinar, “Climate Change and Vector-Borne Disease,” at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, to provide an overview of how climate change and environmental factors affect disease epidemiology and the emergence of vector-borne diseases.
