IHO To Host Free Webinar On Optimizing Patient Flow Before Flu Season

Staff Contact: Jackie Gatz or Toi Wilde

The Institute for Healthcare Optimization is hosting a free webinar that will help hospitals better prepare for the upcoming flu season and share implementation strategies for optimizing patient flow. The webinar will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 24. Registration is open.

IHO’s recommended two-pronged approach to optimizing patient flow — described in Joint Commission Resources’ “Optimizing Patient Flow: Advanced Strategies for Managing Variability to Enhance Access, Quality and Safety” — involves the following.

  • resolving issues for the upcoming winter (short-term flow management)
  • creating sustainable infrastructure (long-term flow management)
