MHA published a summary and analysis of the FFY 2024 Inpatient PPS proposed payment and policy updates. Hospitals have until Friday, June 9, to review their hospital-specific data and submit comments to CMS. The analysis includes the financial effects of market basket updates, reductions mandated by the Affordable Care Act, coding adjustments, quality-based payment adjustments and changes to the wage index. Hospitals in Missouri should expect an estimated 1.3% increase in IPPS payments. Results are illustrated in national, Missouri, health system and individual hospital groupings.
