To support hospitals during reopening, MHA has created tools to support transitioning visitor policies.

The tools include hospital policy evaluation recommendations, FAQs, sample hospital scripting, CMS recommendations for visitor restrictions, and COVID-19 staff and visitor screening guidelines.

Visual tools for sharing policies with the public on websites or social media also are available. These resources highlight the importance of the visitor as a member of the healing team, and encourage hospitals to critically review their current and future visitor polices to determine the most appropriate policy given the COVID-19 environment.
