Early detection and treatment for disease can significantly improve patient outcomes, and Missouri hospitals are committed to improving patient health.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, health screenings and preventive procedures for cancer, heart disease, diabetes, well-child visits, substance use disorder and mental health dropped precipitously.
To demonstrate the negative impact of delaying life-saving screenings and encourage Missourians to get their preventive health care back on track, MHA encourages participation in its “COVID-19 and Delayed Care” digital campaign. New focus areas and additional resources will be added weekly as the campaign progresses. Assets include both infographics and social media graphics.
MHA encourages hospitals and community organizations to participate by distributing and sharing these important messages communitywide. Working together, we can remind Missourians that there is no reason to delay care, and that scheduling regular health screenings may save lives.
