“The Missouri Supreme Court’s unanimous decision on Medicaid expansion is great news for Missourians.  

The state’s hospitals have advocated for expansion since the program was authorized in the Affordable Care Act, and an option for states beginning in 2014. Medicaid expansion will give hundreds of thousands of Missourians new access to medical care and the opportunity for improved health.   

The hospital community is thankful for the Missouri voters who supported the measure in August of 2020.  Also, we want to express gratitude to the countless individuals and organizations advocating for this issue — expanded coverage for low-income Missourians — throughout the last decade.”
