Ransom Joins MHA Board

Ric Ransom, CEO of MU Health Care in Columbia, Mo., has joined the Missouri Hospital Association Board of Trustees. MHA’s board provides governance for the association and assists in the development of policy on behalf of the state’s 140 member hospitals.

“We are excited to have Ric’s voice as part of the conversation about health policy,” said Jon D. Doolittle, MHA President and CEO. “His service at hospitals throughout the nation will help us see broadly and allow us to leverage that knowledge into systems that improve health in Missouri.”

Ransom joined MU Health Care in 2023. Prior to coming to Missouri, he was President for University of Wisconsin Hospitals in the Madison region. He has served in a variety of leadership roles in hospitals in Georgia, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

Ransom earned a bachelor’s degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, a law degree from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Ala., and two master’s degrees from the University of Alabama.
