CMS Finalizes Restraint Guidelines For CAHs
MHD Seeks Public Comment On Updated Managed Care Quality Strategy

CMS recently issued a rule finalizing changes to CAH CoPs, which includes the addition of restraint and seclusion guidelines. MHA updated the acute care hospital crosswalk and created a new crosswalk for CAHs, showing the similarities to TJC requirements. The new requirements for CAHs go into effect Jan. 3, 2023.

The MHD Quality Improvement Strategy has been updated to include Medicaid expansion adults and the Show Me Healthy Kids plan for children in foster care. The plan is open for public comment until Friday, Dec. 9.
