The Missouri General Assembly passed Senate Bill 751, which prohibits pharmaceutical manufacturers from restricting the number of contract pharmacies that may be used by a 340B covered entity. The bill protects hospitals and FQHCs. Missouri is one of the few states that have passed such protections.
The bill previously passed the Senate by a substantial majority. In today’s House vote, the measure passed by a margin of 113-18. The governor has until mid-July to act on the legislation. If the governor signs the bill, it will become effective Wednesday, August 28.
Staff thanks all members who contacted their legislators and asked for support of this bill. Member outreach positively impacted the considerable support received for this issue in the General Assembly.
