Congress enacted another appropriations package that funds HHS through FFY 2024. The $1.2 trillion package includes funding for Defense; Financial Services and General Government; Homeland Security; Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies; Legislative Branch; and, State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs. DHSS shared the CDC Health Advisory related to the increase in measles cases – both globally and domestically. The CDC encourages health care providers to ensure that children in the U.S. and those traveling internationally who are 6 months or older are up to date on their MMR vaccine.

MHA is aware of a pharmaceutical and supply chain shortage related to RhoGAM or Rho(D) treatment impacting our member hospitals and clinics. To support hospitals experiencing this shortage, MHA compiled a list of resources, along with potential contingency strategies for use when possible.
PARTICIPATE: The DEA is hosting a National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 27. On this day, the public is encouraged to remove unneeded, unwanted and expired medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction.
