Beginning Sunday, Aug. 28, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists and physician assistants will be allowed to order home health services for qualifying Missouri Medicaid participants and to conduct the required face-to-face visit corresponding to the commencement of home health care. Providers ordering home health services also may use the standardized CMS care plan forms or develop their own, as long as it includes the elements required by federal regulation.
