JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Alan W. Greimann, President and CEO of Royal Oaks Hospital in Windsor, Mo., and Executive Vice President of Compass Health Network, was elected to serve as 2024 Chair of the Missouri Hospital Association Board of Trustees. His one-year term as chair began Jan. 1.

As chair, Greimann’s duties include overseeing and directing activities of the MHA Board of Trustees, acting as a day-to-day adviser to MHA, and testifying before committees of the Missouri General Assembly and Congress. He also will lead a Missouri delegation to Washington, D.C., during the year and will act as a state and national spokesperson for Missouri’s hospitals.

“Al has deep experience leading hospitals and other types of health care organizations, and he is a nationally recognized expert in improving behavioral health services,” said Jon D. Doolittle, MHA President and CEO. “As we work collectively in 2024 to address the historic change occurring within the health care system, Al’s vision, commitment to innovation and focus on coordinating a patient’s care will help shape how we think about the path forward for Missouri’s hospitals.”

Greimann is President and CEO of Royal Oaks Hospital in Windsor, Mo., and Executive Vice President of Compass Health. Since 1985, Greimann has led numerous behavioral health facilities, including a 90-bed substance use center, an 80-bed acute care psychiatric hospital and the Midwest operations for 11 hospitals in seven states. In 1992, he co-founded PsychCare Management, Inc. The organization acquired the facility in Windsor, Mo., and established Royal Oaks Hospital — a 54-bed acute, psychiatric hospital. In 2004, Royal Oaks Hospital integrated with Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare, now known as Compass Health Network since 2019.

Greimann has served on several academic and community service boards including the External Advisory Board of the MU School of Health Professions, Central Missouri Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the For the Children Foundation. He currently serves as chair of the National Psychology Training Consortium and chair for the Behavioral Health Services network for MHA. In 2022, he was honored with MHA’s Visionary Leadership Award.
