Summary of the 2023 Session of the Missouri General Assembly

The Missouri General Assembly adjourned its 2023 legislative session May 12. MHA prepared an issue brief summarizing legislation of interest to hospitals, health systems and health care providers, including bills both passed and defeated.

The governor will act on appropriations bills before the Saturday, July 1, start of state fiscal year 2024. Substantive bills must be acted upon by Friday, July 14.
