Overview

Understanding the Medicare CoPs and maintaining current knowledge of the regulations and surveyor guidelines can be a challenge for both new — and even seasoned — hospital leaders. This 90-minute virtual event will provide an overview of the Medicare survey process for both acute and critical access hospitals and provide participants with information on available resources. We'll discuss the relationship between the Medicare certification process and the accrediting bodies, as well as how to write an effective plan of correction to satisfy the surveyors.

Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

    • describe the Medicare CoPs
    • explain how to keep up to date on applicable regulations
    • explain the survey process, including routine surveys and complaint investigations
    • describe the components of a Plan of Correction and how to write an effective POC
