The Great Reassessment | What COVID-19 Will Mean for the World Now and in the Future
Whether the pandemic ends before Christmas or continues well into 2022, it cannot be understated how much it will have changed the world. From the way we’re now trying to continue our business operations, to the social realization of who and what are truly essential and valuable, to how we will relate to each other in the future, 2020 will be seen as the year that every previously held assumption was thrown up into the air. The challenge is to understand how it might land, what we can control, what we will have to wait for, and how to position ourselves to recover and prosper in the future.
World-renowned futurist and thought leader, Ben Hammersley, will address each of these subjects: the likely scenarios for a post-COVID-19 world, the things we can do today and in the upcoming months to prepare for it, and the skills and knowledge we can begin developing today to truly flourish.

Using the Science of EQ to Stress-Proof You
Whether at work or at home, there is no doubt that Emotional Intelligence (EQ) has been one of the most heavily tested skills of 2021. Never has it been as important to demonstrate, and yet ― in the face of constant uncertainty, working virtually and on the heels of a global pandemic ― never has it been as difficult to practice, especially when feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted. Ross is going to help you change that.
Ross has studied stress and the influence of emotions on performance, leadership and burnout for more than a decade. Her research shows that EQ not only helps buffer stress, but also it instills a sense of vitality by amplifying one’s experience and expertise, helping people make good decisions in demanding situations, and creating the confidence to adapt to uncertainty. Perhaps most importantly, EQ is key to building strong connections to help you manage your energy both at work and at home.

Why Health Care Leadership Matters
In health care, we lead and manage in a world of the perpetual whitewater of change. But effective change only can occur when leaders at every level of the organization, including clinicians at the bedside, understand not only the “how” but also the “why” guiding leadership. This inspirational talk gives practical examples of how leadership can give your organization a substantial and sustainable competitive advantage.
