John Christopher (Chris) Lang, FACHE, CEO of Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, Mo., was elected to serve on the Missouri Hospital Association Board of Trustees. His term began Jan. 1.
MHA’s board provides governance for the association and assists in policy development on behalf of the state’s 140 member hospitals.

A President and CEO. “His long-term service to MHA and the state’s hospitals will help guide our thinking on issues as diverse as the health care workforce, rural health and hospital finance.”
Lang has served as CEO of Cass Regional Medical Center since 2003. Prior to joining the medical center, he served as Executive Director of Ancillary and Surgical Services at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Mo., and in several hospital leadership roles in Missouri and Wisconsin. He served as a member of the MHA Board of Trustees from 2015 to 2020 and has served on numerous MHA and America College of Healthcare Executives committees.
Lang received a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, and a master’s degree in health care administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is an ACHE Fellow.
