Influencers: A Template for How to Maximize the Performance Review

Audience

administrative support staff in all health-related organizations

Overview

Anxiety and worry. Sweaty palms. Racing heart. Sleepless nights. A sense of pending doom. For most of us, these words can describe how we feel in the days before our annual performance review. A time for helpful feedback, goal setting and encouragement instead feels like an experience that must be endured and survived like something out of a dystopia novel. However, the performance review does not have to be this way. Using social media influencers as our guide, participants will learn how to maximize the benefit of their performance review. You will learn why performance reviews add value to the employee experience, why the model used for decades no longer works and how to prepare for the performance review to demonstrate value to employers.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • learn why performance reviews are an important component of the employee life cycle
  • learn how to use influencer culture to prepare for their next performance review
