The Governance Excellence Certificate Program
Health care is in a period of rapid change. At times like
these, it is especially important for hospital trustees to understand the
issues facing their organizations. The Governance Excellence Certificate Program
has been designed specifically for hospital trustees to develop the skills and
knowledge that will allow them to make effective decisions for their
organizations. This voluntary program gives Missouri hospital trustees the
opportunity to earn a certificate in governance excellence from the MHA Center
MHA launched the Governance Excellence Certificate Program
in 2011 to enhance hospital trustees’ skills and to equip them with increased
knowledge of issues in hospital governance. To complete the certificate
program, trustees are required to attend a day-long seminar and complete six of
eight independent study modules.

Please note, the purpose of offering the program in September 2017 is to
allow more time for trustees to partake in the event. The program is no longer held in conjunction with the annual convention.
