U.S. Households Eligible To Order Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests

MHA released an analysis that illustrates the financial effect of the FFY 2025 Medicare final LTCH PPS rule. LTCH PPS hospitals in Missouri are projected to receive an estimated increase of 3.17% in Medicare reimbursement as compared to FFY 2024. This analysis, which will be available online for authorized users of HIDI Advantage®, includes a summary for the nation, Missouri, health systems and individual hospitals.

As National Preparedness Month comes to an end, we encourage hospitals to celebrate and thank their emergency management staff for all they do. Their often behind-the-scenes actions result in improved day-to-day operations, ensure continuity of operations and care, and protect health care staff.
MHA recognizes that along with the rewarding aspects of this work, many challenges can be exacerbated during a crisis. Hospital emergency management staff should remember to prioritize self-care as part of both preparedness and response activities. As a health care provider and/or responder, identify proactive measures you can take to ensure you can do your job when disasters strike and challenges arise.

U.S. households once again can receive four free at-home COVID-19 tests. Tests may show expired dates on the box, but the FDA has extended those dates. Orders may be placed online or by calling 1-800-232-0233. Orders will ship for free beginning the week of Monday, Sept. 30.
The tests available for order are rapid antigen at-home tests, not PCR, and give results within 30 minutes. In addition, these tests can be used even if you do not have COVID-19 symptoms.
