MHA will host Fall 2024 Respiratory Virus Season Office Hours at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26. The call will focus on hospital data reporting and MHA’s plan to monitor impacts to hospitals throughout the respiratory virus season. Registration is required.

During this call, MHA staff will review and discuss the following.

• new hospital respiratory infection data reporting requirements that will take effect Friday, Nov. 1, as part of the FY 2025 Hospital IPPS and LTCH PPS final rule (Data are reported by hospitals weekly through the National Healthcare Safety Network.)
• NHSN data submission process
• plans to monitor hospital impact from respiratory viruses through EMResource

The Central Office Medical Review Unit scheduled monthly orientation training sessions to review the requirements of the Pre-Admission and Resident Review and Nursing Facility Level of Care application process. Each of these online trainings, hosted by Ammanda Ott, R.N. supervisor for COMRU, is limited to 50 individuals and will take place from 11 a.m. to noon. Upcoming training sessions will be held on the following dates.

• Tuesday, Nov. 5
• Tuesday, Dec. 10
