Only one week remains to register for MHA’s 2024 Annual Convention. We hope you will join us Wednesday, Nov. 13, through Friday, Nov. 15, at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel at Crown Center.
We have an amazing lineup of speakers who will offer thought-provoking ideas from the main stage and in topical breakout sessions. In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to renew existing connections while building new ones at our networking events.

HIDI recently updated its access policy to better support ongoing engagement with the Hospital Performance Insights program. Previously, access to the Hospital Performance Insights dashboard — included in Fiscal Optics — was limited to organizations that submitted data in the most recent quarter. Starting with the next dashboard refresh on Monday, Nov. 25, access will be extended to all organizations that have submitted data within any of the last four quarters. The updated access policy provides the following.

An IV Fluid Shortage Touchpoint will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, to review current supply chain shortages, provide updated resources, and discuss quality, infection prevention and other recommended strategies. Registration is required.
As a reminder, an SBAR with additional information, resources and strategies for addressing the current IV fluid disruption are available on MHA’s website. To help improve situational awareness, refine resources and advocate for hospital members, all hospitals are asked to report current or anticipated IV fluid shortages using the Supply Chain Shortage Reporting Tool form in EMResource or the available online survey.

Eric Eoloff retired from Mercy Hospital Washington, effective Nov. 1. Serving for more than 15 years with Mercy and nearly 35 years in health care, Eoloff retired to pursue new opportunities. David Argueta, Regional President, East and Southwest Communities, will serve as the interim president of the hospital until a permanent replacement is named
ATTEND: Myers and Stauffer will host a complimentary training webinar about the SFY 2022 Missouri DSH Examination/SFY 2026 Interim DSH Payment at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. Anyone involved in the completion of DSH reporting is encouraged to participate. If you are unable to join the webinar, the training will be recorded. The recording will be sent to all hospital contacts along with further instructions on filling out the DSH survey once the webinar concludes.
