Primary care is the gateway to improving individual, community and population health. As the population ages, significant investment and policy changes are necessary to meet the growth in demand for health care services, especially in rural areas of Missouri. This report provides a snapshot of the primary care landscape in the state, and identifies the need to strengthen this critical component of Missouri’s workforce.
