Armed Violent Intruder Planning Resources
Civil Unrest Education and Resources
The first webinar, conducted by Mitigation Dynamics, Inc., in early November 2015, provided tools for hospitals in advance of the impending grand jury announcement.
The second webinar, conducted by Mitigation Dynamics Inc.,
provides a retrospective summary of the events in Ferguson, Mo., leading up to
the Grand Jury Announcement on Nov. 24, 2014. While this educational offering
maintains a focus on health care, the first-hand experience of the presenter
provides for a more comprehensive review of preparedness and response efforts.
The third webinar, conducted by several impacted hospitals
within the St. Louis metropolitan area, focuses on lessons learned from a
hospital perspective as it relates to civil unrest events. In addition to
hospital and system-specific presentations, this offering includes a panel
presentation reviewing the critical elements and lessons learned identified by
presenters. In addition to this recorded webinar, several supporting documents
also are available for review.
The American Society
for Healthcare Engineering has developed a webinar (use the following password to access the video: ashe) for
Missouri hospitals outlining changes relative to the Centers for Medicare &
Medicaid Services’ adoption of the 2012 edition of the National Fire
Protection Agency’s Life Safety Code.
