Missouri Settles Medicaid Private Duty Nursing Lawsuit
MHD Announces Changes To HIPAA X12 835 Remittance Advice Transactions

DSS settled a lawsuit brought by Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and the National Health Law Program on behalf of Medicaid-eligible children who were unable to access private duty nursing services they needed to live at home. Under the settlement agreement, MHD will change its policies and take other steps to increase access to the service.

MHD issued Provider Bulletin 45-24 announcing that the electronic 835s and printable remittance advices will reflect changes in claim adjustment amounts and associated claims adjustment reason codes and/or remittance advice remark codes, effective Sunday, Dec. 18.
Craig Branum is celebrating 15 years of service at MHA. Craig serves as the association’s Vice President of Human Resources and Support Services, a role he assumed in 2012.
Craig performs a wide variety of human resources functions for MHA and its employees, and he’s really proud of his role in hiring staff that further our mission. Craig loves to see employees succeed and enjoy their time at MHA, because “our awesome employees are really what makes MHA the best place to work!”
When he’s not at the office, you might catch him fishing, kayaking, golfing or bowling. Craig, his wife Anita, and their three children enjoy being outdoors and spending time together. He’s also active in his church, where he plays guitar and sings in the choir.
