The expansion of telehealth services during the COVID-19 pandemic was associated with individuals staying in treatment longer and reducing their risk of medically treated overdose, according to a new study. Data found that Medicare beneficiaries were 19.6% more likely to receive OUD-related telehealth services than before the pandemic.

AHA released the third and final section of its workforce strategies guide, which is designed to help hospital and health system leaders navigate workforce challenges and opportunities. This section focuses on recruitment and retention, diversity and inclusion, and creative staffing models. Previous sections and additional resources also are available.
PARTICIPATE: September is National Preparedness Month, and this year, MHA is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the federal Hospital Preparedness Program.
