MHA will honor Progress West Hospital with a 2024 Aim for Excellence award for their maternal hypertension collaborative. The collaborative is designed around visual process improvement reminders, provider engagement and medical record notations to improve care and has resulted in nearly 100% delivery of timely, evidence-based care when the condition is identified.

The award will be presented at MHA’s 102nd Annual Convention in Kansas City, Mo., during the Celebration of Achievement Awards Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 14. Register for Convention and select the Celebration of Achievement Awards Dinner to attend to see the full tribute.

In addition to the Aim for Excellence Award, MHA will honor recipients of the Trustee of the Year Award, Visionary Leadership Award and Distinguished Service Award. Join your peers to celebrate these milestones with the winners at the awards dinner.

Mercy Hospital Carthage has named Belinda Farmer as its new administrator, effective Aug. 19. Farmer joins Mercy with more than 30 years of health care experience most recently serving as operations director at McClinton Cancer Center in Waco, Texas.

Nate Blackford, president of Mosaic Medical Center-Maryville has announced his resignation, effective Oct. 30. Blackford has served as president since April 2019 and plans to pursue other career opportunities. A replacement has not yet been named.
