MHA is providing an analysis of the Medicare IPPS Hospital-Acquired Condition Reduction Program, the Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program, the Value-Based Purchasing Program and Medicare pay-for-performance reference guide. MHA also is providing an outpatient quality trends report and quality trending reports.

Although CAHs are exempt from the Medicare IPPS pay-for-performance programs, quality trends reports are available for CAHs that submit quality data. Also provided is a simulation representing the potential payment adjustment if CAHs were subject to the Medicare IPPS VBP program. Policy and analytic studies, prepared for distribution by HIDI, are available for download to authorized users of HIDI Advantage^®.

The University of Missouri Extension is offering a free online training course for professionals working in Dent, Washington, Crawford, St. Francois or Phelps counties. These rural counties ranked worst in Missouri on all drug overdose mortality in 2021, and are challenged by a lack of mental health providers and other resources.

This training, titled “Adversity to Action,” will focus on adverse childhood experiences, including defining and identifying ACEs, explaining how ACEs impact health and detailing how the COVID-19 pandemic affected ACE reporting nationwide. Those interested in enrolling should email Ashley Douglass. This training will be available on demand until June 2025.
