MHA published a comprehensive analysis of the CY 2022 final payment and policy updates for Medicare OPPS hospitals, which is available online for authorized users of HIDI Analytic Advantage. The analysis includes a summary, a description of the methods, and financial implications for hospitals and/or health systems. Nationally, hospitals will experience an estimated 1.64% increase in payments. Missouri hospital payments are projected to increase by an estimated 2.11%.

CMS announced that more than 13.8 million Americans have enrolled in the 2022 individual marketplace. Plan selections include 11.8 million returning enrollees and 2 million new consumers. In Missouri, 241,982 individuals have enrolled.

The Department of Veterans Affairs announced Jean Jones Gurga as the new executive director/CEO of the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Gurga currently serves as the executive director/CEO for Northern Arizona VA Health Care System. She will transition into her new role within the next few months.
