COVID-19 Hospitalizations Continue To Grow In Missouri

Patients hospitalized with suspected and confirmed COVID-19 continued to grow in all regions of the state last week, including the Southwest Region that surpassed its previous peak surge levels set during the winter of 2020-2021. As a percent of 2020 peak levels, hospitalizations in Missouri currently range from 23% in the Southeast Region to 113% in the Southwest Region. In terms of regional growth in patients hospitalized with COVID-19, the relative percent change since June 1 range from 70% in the St. Louis Region to 617% in the Southeast Region.
