Hospitals should have plans for monitoring health care personnel with exposure to patients with known or suspected COVID-19. The same screening performed for visitors and initial patient contact can be performed with hospital staff. Also, hospitals should identify visitors and patients at risk for having COVID-19 infection before, or immediately upon, arrival to the facility.

MHA published guidance for screening hospitals staff, patients and visitors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
