Karla Clubine, CEO of Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, Mo., was elected to serve as a member of the Missouri Hospital Association Board of Trustees. MHA’s board provides governance for the association and assists in the development of policy on behalf of the state’s 140 member hospitals. Her term began Jan. 1.

“Karla’s broad experience — as a leader and clinician — will bring important perspective to the board’s discussions,” said Jon D. Doolittle, MHA President and CEO.

Clubine joined Pershing Memorial Hospital in 1993 as a registered nurse. During her 30-year career at PMH, she has served in various leadership positions, including emergency department nursing supervisor, interim chief nursing officer and interim quality risk management director.

Clubine holds master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner and a pediatric nurse practitioner. She recently earned a graduate certificate in business law from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y.
