New Models in Nurse Recruitment: How International Direct Hire Can Support a Long-term Sustainable Pipeline

Audience

nursing leaders, HR leaders, CFOs and chief strategy officers

The following program content was provided by the speaker.

Overview

Today, hospitals and health systems face the challenge of how to build a future health care system that can meet their patients' and employees' needs and still be financially viable. Nowhere is this more pressing than in building a long-term sustainable nurse staffing pipeline. While organizations are intensifying efforts to recruit newly graduated nurses and enhance retention programs to address the anticipated shortage, leading health systems are exploring additional avenues, such as international direct hire, as a viable "And" workforce planning strategy. Discover how one hospital system evaluated its workforce needs, partnered with an international direct hire agency and built a compelling case to convince leadership of the benefits of this innovative approach.

Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:

    • explore new avenues for nurse recruitment with an "And" approach
    • learn about the workforce assessment approach
    • build the case for leadership
