Overview

This program will feature Liberty Hospital's nursing, IT and marketing leaders who will share how the organization handled a cybersecurity event that left them without access to their daily systems for four weeks. 

Objectives

At the conclusion of this session, participants will: 

    • learn what they can do now to prepare for a cybersecurity attack 

Speakers

Gretchen Britt, BSN, R.N., CHCIO-E, CDH-l, joined Liberty Hospital in 2003 as a graduate nurse in the NICU. She transitioned from l5 years at the bedside to informatics, where she worked in partnership with physicians and  advanced practice providers to keep the focus on the patient. Today, Britt is the Liberty Market Vice President of Information and Technology, CIO. She is a Certified Digital Health Leader and Certified Healthcare CIO-E. As a registered nurse and health care IT leader, Britt has a passion for informatics and evidence-based patient-centered care. 

Regenia Stull DNP, MSN, R.N., CNL-C, LNC joined the Liberty Hospital team in January 2022 after working as a consultant in nursing leadership/CNO roles in Missouri, Illinois and Louisiana. She focuses on quality of care by leveraging the strength of her leadership team and the staff they lead. Stull has proven success in stabilizing the nursing workforce, reducing nursing turnover and improving nursing satisfaction, patient satisfaction and overall quality of care. Stull received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from West Virginia University and a Master of Science in nursing and nursing administration from the University of Phoenix, Honolulu campus. She obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from American Sentinel University, Aurora, Colo. 

Mindy Warner joined Liberty Hospital in 2019. In addition to daily responsibilities, during the last five years, the Liberty Hospital Marketing & Public Relations Department worked through the pandemic, including a high through-put vaccine clinic, and managed intensive communications around a brand refresh, executive leadership changes, seeking a strategic growth partner and a cybersecurity event. The team now is on the front line of integration with The University of Kansas Health System.* Prior to joining Liberty Hospital, Warner was a senior leader with Fleischman Hillard, a global marketing communications firm. During 22 years at FH, she developed comprehensive clinical trial recruitment services and worked with blue-chip pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to help launch numerous treatments and patient support programs across a variety of therapeutic categories. 

*Liberty Hospital joined The University of Kansas Health System on July 1, 2024.
