Women Executives Network

Women are critical stakeholders in health care — as workers, caregivers and consumers.

Women’s share of the total labor force is 46.8%, yet on average, they spend more than twice as much time caring for and helping household members. Women also bear a disproportionate burden of informal caregiving for family members, friends and neighbors, serving as 66% of all caregivers. On top of all this, women often serve as the “chief medical officer” of the home — making the majority of health care decisions and health care purchases for the entire family. (Source –, 6/27/18)

In response to the growing female executive population and requests for additional support from members, MHA developed a Women Executives Network Group.

Mission Statement

Develop a strong support system through networking and education with Missouri women executives to build lasting and meaningful relationships between women leaders, their peers and the Missouri Hospital Association.

Networking and Education

Education topics will be addressed through sharing women-specific executive education events from external sources, such as MHA’s Health Institute, ACHE and Modern Healthcare.

Network members will be invited to join a LinkedIn page where content will be shared.

Additionally, an informal listserv will be utilized. If you are a member of the Network Group and would like to submit a question or topic to the listserv, email Dana Dahl. The question will be posted via Survey Monkey and results distributed to the network within two weeks.
