Tara Osseck will share best practices for finding and engaging candidates who fit, based on more than a decade of experience as both a recruitment consultant and in-house recruitment and business development professional at hospitals in Missouri and Tennessee.

Tammy Tiller-Hewitt will highlight the key onboarding and retention practices that have worked for hundreds of hospitals nationwide by enhancing the recruitment environment, accelerating practice ramp-up and achieving long-term retention.

Tara Osseck began her career in health care as a physician liaison, and her role quickly expanded to include physician recruitment, strategic planning and business development. She utilizes her background working for various hospitals as an in-house physician recruiter and in business development, strategic planning and physician relations to recruit candidates that provide a long-term fit for the provider, hospital and community.

Today, with more than a decade of experience in the health care industry, including eight years dedicated to physician recruitment, Osseck specializes in helping providers advance their professional careers. She particularly enjoys working with young physicians to find the right fit early in their careers, which avoids costly mistakes.

Osseck earned a Bachelor of Health Science/Pre-Medicine at Truman State University, located in Kirksville Mo., and a Master of Health Administration at the University of Memphis. She was named one of St. Louis’ Top 30 Under 30 by the St. Louis Business Journal, and she is a mentor and graduate of Vision Leadership St. Charles County and of Leadership Chesterfield.

Tammy Tiller-Hewitt, MHA, FACHE, is a nationally recognized physician relations and retention consultant, known as the pioneer of strategic physician outreach/liaison. She draws on 30 years of health care management experience and the launch of hundreds of programs nationwide throughout 16 years. Working in partnership with hospital leaders, her firm hardwires organizational culture for successful physician relations, retention and loyalty. Her work with both the health system and the physician practice sides of health care give her a unique perspective on the complexities facing today’s health care professionals.

Prior to starting Tiller-Hewitt HealthCare Strategies, Tammy spent 20 years with BJC HealthCare in St. Louis. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Maryville University, located in St. Louis, and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, located in San Antonio. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has received the ACHE Recognition Award, acknowledging her contribution to health care management excellence. She is trained in Lean and is a John Maxwell certified leadership coach and trainer.
