Overview

Retention starts with recruiting physicians who fit your organization, and continues through strategic onboarding and beyond. Yet, many organizations miss critical steps along the way and risk making million-dollar recruitment mistakes. Learn how to reveal the fit factors during recruitment — and eliminate derailing factors during onboarding — so you can recruit and retain the physicians and advanced practitioners who will flourish in your organization.

Tara Osseck will share best practices for finding and engaging candidates who fit, based on more than a decade of experience as both a recruitment consultant and in-house recruitment and business development professional at hospitals in Missouri and Tennessee.

Tammy Tiller-Hewitt will highlight the key onboarding and retention practices that have worked for hundreds of hospitals nationwide by enhancing the recruitment environment, accelerating practice ramp-up and achieving long-term retention.

Objectives

Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to accomplish the following.

  • identify the critical success factors for high-performance recruitment
  • describe the systematic approach to onboarding that results in long-term retention
  • understand team roles and responsibilities to create a seamless continuum from recruitment through retention
