The following program content was provided by the speaker.

During part two of the three‐part ICD‐10‐CM training series, our speaker will review the chapter‐specific guidelines associated with coding diagnoses classified to chapters 1 (Certain Infectious and Parasitic Diseases) through 13 (Diseases of the Musculoskeletal System and Connective Tissue). This session also includes case studies to aid in comprehension of the associated guidelines.

At the completion of this program, participants will be able to accomplish the following:

  • discuss chapter-specific guidelines associated with assigning diagnoses
  • review the first 13 chapters associated with ICD-10-CM
  • evaluate case studies, and use lessons learned
