Mentoring is an important strategy to develop tomorrow’s leaders. Many organizations use mentoring as an integral part of their succession planning as well. If you have benefited from a mentor, then you know the value of someone who can guide you to be successful. Mentoring is a process that establishes opportunities for experienced leaders to provide guidance and direction to aspiring managers, supervisors or staff. Both the mentor and the mentee have responsibility in the mentoring process.

For more than 20 years, Louis Benson has been regarded as one of America’s finest keynote speakers and seminar leaders. He is a health care consultant and professional speaker who has worked with organizations experiencing rapid change and reorganization.

Benson was CEO at Treasure Coast Hospice until 2013 where they served more than 500 patients a day and patient satisfaction scores were 99 percent. He increased the number of employees serving patients, while decreasing the number of administrative and support staff. Employee satisfaction was well above a 90 percent average. He reversed the financial losses and the organization’s net worth quadrupled to more than $30 million while he was CEO.
