General Assembly Enacts FRA Reauthorization And Supplemental Budget

The state Senate and House of Representatives convened in Jefferson City to finish work to enact legislation to reauthorize the FRA and the other state provider taxes for an additional year, through Sept. 30, 2021. Legislators also enacted a revised version of the supplemental budget. The supplemental budget addresses unforeseen expenses and revenues in the current state fiscal year, which ends June 30. The bulk of the changes add general authority to spend federal funds received or anticipated to respond to COVID-19.

CMS Issues 2021 Medicare Advantage And Part D Rate Announcement Fact Sheet

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has released the rate announcement and finalized the methodologies for the calendar year 2021 Medicare Advantage and Part D programs. The CY 2021 rate is expected to increase 1.66%. The expected change is a result of phasing in the CMS Hierarchical Condition Categories model, encounter data and coding pattern adjustments.
