HIDI Releases First Quarter 2019 VBP Payments Model

The Value-Based Purchasing Payments Model is a companion utility to the VBP Analysis that was produced for hospitals on June 27. The VBP Payments Model is an interactive tool that provides hospitals with the ability to manipulate their hospital-specific quality scores to evaluate the associated change to estimated VBP payments. The VBP Payments Model is provided to subscribers of the 2019 Premier Reporting Package. The modeling utility is located on HIDI Analytic Advantage® in the following location.

  • Folder: “Finance and Policy/Premier Reports” or “Quality/Premier Reports”
  • File name: “MOxxxx_VBP FFY2020 Payments Model_2019_Q1_(2019.07.18).xlsx”

Hospitals interested in subscribing to the HIDI Premier Report Package should review the package information. Current subscribers with questions about downloading files should contact HIDI.

CMS Announces IQR And Promoting Interoperability Programs Education Session

An outreach and education session for hospitals participating in the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting and Promoting Interoperability Programs is scheduled at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 31. Registration is required for the webinar, “Use of Clinical Dashboards to Drive Performance Improvement for eCQMs.”

CEO Announcements


St. Louis Children’s Hospital Names New President

Trish Lollo has been named the new president of St. Louis Children’s Hospital, effective Tuesday, Sept. 3. Lollo currently serves as president of Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital in St. Louis and has been in that role for three years. She joined BJC HealthCare in 2011 as the vice president of oncology services at the Siteman Cancer Center and Barnes-Jewish Hospital laboratories and radiology. She will replace Peggy Gordin who has been serving as interim president and will return to her role at St. Louis Children’s Hospital as vice president and chief nurse executive.
