2019 Federal Health Insurance Exchange Options In Missouri

The Federal Health Insurance Exchange Open Enrollment for 2019 will be open from Thursday, Nov. 1, through Saturday, Dec. 15. Carriers offering coverage in Missouri include Anthem, Centene, CIGNA and Medica. At least one carrier will be providing coverage in every county in Missouri. Although 102 counties will have one carrier offering coverage, multiple plans are available to choose from.

MHA Releases Analysis Of Several Programs

MHA released an analysis of the Medicare inpatient value-based purchasing program, the hospital-acquired conditions program, quality trends reports, the readmissions reduction program and the 2019-2021 quality program reference guide. The HAC, VBP and HRRP reports are limited to inpatient prospective payment hospitals and include estimated Medicare payment adjustments. The quality program measure trends are available to both inpatient PPS and critical access hospitals. MHA also released this year’s free, on-demand webinar series about the Medicare pay-for-performance programs. Policy and analytic studies, prepared for distribution by the Hospital Industry Data Institute, are available for download to authorized users of HIDI Analytic Advantage®.

CMS Releases Hospital Quality Reporting Center Fall 2018 Newsletter

The Hospital Quality Reporting Center Fall 2018 newsletter has been released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The issue includes information for acute and critical access hospitals, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and PPS-exempt cancer hospitals.
