CMS Announces MIPS Targeted Review Request Deadline

Staff Contact: Peter Rao

Due to scoring issues, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services updated the Merit-based Incentive Payment System performance scores on Sept. 13. MIPS scores from 2017 will affect the 2019 MIPS payment adjustment calculation. If you believe there was an error in your 2019 payment adjustment calculation, the deadline to request a targeted review by CMS is 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15.

To access your 2017 MIPS score and performance feedback, and to request a targeted review, visit the Quality Payment Program website, and log in using your Enterprise Identity Management credentials. These are the same EIDM credentials that allowed you to submit your MIPS data. Please refer to the EIDM User Guide for additional details.
