In ED Study, Researchers Find 2.6 Percent Of Patients Suffer From Agitation

New research published in Annals of Emergency Medicine finds that among patients served in an urban Level I trauma center emergency department, 2.6 percent suffer from agitation. Researchers screened 43,838 ED patients and found 1,146 suffered from agitation. Of these patients, 84 percent required physical restraint and 72 percent required sedation.
