MHA Distributes Financial Indicators Analysis

Staff Contact: Andrew Wheeler

MHA released a financial indicator analysis providing comparative financial metrics for individual hospitals compared to state and national benchmarks. The analysis uses standard accepted formulas as defined and published by various rating agencies. The source for the financial information is the first quarter 2018 Healthcare Cost Report Information System database, which includes the Medicare cost report data. MHA posted these files to HIDI Analytic Advantage® for review.

The Missouri Hospital Association and APS extends an invitation to attend a webinar by Besler and Cozen O’Connor about an appeal opportunity for hospitals in non-expansion states. If successful, participants will receive a payment settlement that would reverse the impact of Medicare disproportionate care payments in non-Medicaid expansion states. If your organization is interested in participating in the appeal, please contact Dennis George or Andrew Wheeler. The webinar will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 20.
