CMS Updates MA Value-Based Insurance Design Model

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced changes to the Medicare Advantage Value-Based Insurance Design Model for 2019. The changes are intended to encourage customized benefit designs and flexibilities that meet the health needs of MA beneficiaries. CMS Administrator Seema Verma stated, “This administration is committed to making sure that our seniors have more choices and lower premiums in their Medicare Advantage plans. CMS expects that this demonstration will provide insights into future innovations for the Medicare Advantage program.”

MLN Connects Provider eNews Available

CMS Announces IQR And EHR Incentive Programs Webinar

An outreach and education webinar for participants in the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting and Medicare Electronic Health Record Incentive programs is scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7. Registration is required for the webinar, “How to Correct Common Schema Validation Errors for Hospital QRDA Category I Submissions and Other Guidance.”
