HHS Delays Effective Date Of 340B Drug Pricing Rule

A notice filed by U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Secretary Thomas Price, has delayed the implementation date of regulations on the calculation of 340B drug ceiling prices and manufacturer penalties to Sunday, Oct. 1. Originally, the regulations were to take effect March 6, but implementation was delayed several times for additional public comment.

The Hospital Industry Data Institute is hosting a webinar to share information about its business intelligence platform, HIDI Analytic Advantage®. HIDI Analytic Advantage® is available to all hospitals participating in HIDI’s data collection program. The system includes reports and documentation on strategic planning and market share, finance, quality, and community health. The webinar originally was scheduled for Friday, May 26, but now is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 24. The webinar is part of HIDI’s monthly focus sessions and is free to any hospital team member. Register online.

USDA Offers Distance Learning And Telemedicine Grant Workshop

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development Office is hosting a distance learning and telemedicine grant workshop that will provide an overview of the DLT program, application requirements and success stories. The workshop is offered on Tuesday, June 6, in Sikeston, and Wednesday, June 7, in Springfield.
