Practicing nurses who are interested in or have been identified as strong candidates for a teaching role to be trained for the role of a clinical instructor.
Throughout the state, colleges of nursing have expressed concerns about the availability of faculty, which is necessary to expand the enrollment and capacity of nursing programs. As a clinical educator, you can help train the next generation of nurses. Through the CFA, you will gain knowledge and skills essential for success in an adjunct clinical faculty role, a support network for adjunct clinical educators, and stronger connections between clinical practice sites and academic environments.
Upon completion of the curriculum, participants will be able to:

For cancellations received in writing before the established deadline date, the registrant will receive a full refund — minus a $50* processing fee per registrant. After the deadline date, no refunds will be granted. Registrants not in attendance will be responsible for the full registration fee. Substitutions are encouraged. Class size is limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Program materials will be provided.
Participants must attend the two-day academy in its entirety to receive a certificate of completion and 12.5 continuing nursing education contact hours. (No partial credit will be awarded.)
