Document Offers Preliminary Assessment Of Federal Budget Proposal

As noted in yesterday’s MHA Today (Feb.1), President Obama released his administration’s proposed budget for federal fiscal year 2011. Congress now will embark on the process of enacting a budget. Details of the proposed budget are emerging, including a document providing details of funding for the Department of Health and Human Services. A summary and analysis of the budget is available. The budget assumes passage of health care reform and includes an average of the spending reductions included in the House and Senate reform bills.
