HIDI Reports Available For A Fee

The following data are available for a fee to MHA-member hospitals. 

Average Hospital Charges for Medicare Patients — DRG Report
The Medicare Provider Analysis and Review (MEDPAR) file, available from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, is the source of data for this report. The report provides hospital-specific average ancillary charges and total charges for Medicare patients for a $200 fee. Hospital chief executive officers are notified by mail and are sent an order form when the annual data are available.

Custom Data Files and Reports
Member hospitals can request aggregate or patient-level information on a fee-for-service basis. Custom reports are available in either electronic or printed formats. Recipients may select from data elements that are available in the “limited data set” described in the HIPAA regulations.
