At the same time, it’s a little frightening because of the unknowns … what if I take a wrong turn? What if my car breaks down? In the end, as long as you have a map to help guide you and trust your instincts, you’ll never forget this ride.
Right now, the open road to health care’s future lies before us. Join us on the start of this journey during MHA’s 88th Annual Convention & Trade Show. The dynamic general session speakers we’ve invited to join us will share successes, failures and lessons learned in the quest to transform health care for our hospitals and communities.
Fourteen personal membership groups also will offer specialized programming, including the opportunity to learn the latest trends for health professions and to network with colleagues.
You’ll also want to visit the extensive Exhibit Hall showcasing the newest products and services. All convention attendees are invited to the Welcoming Reception from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in the Exhibit Hall for complimentary beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Then, join us for dinner and the unforgettable music of World Classic Rockers. This all-star line-up featuring former members of Santana, Journey, Boston, Steppenwolf, Toto and Lynyrd Skynyrd will gather on one stage to perform an incredible night of timeless rock-and-roll classics, including “Born to be Wild,” “Black Magic Woman,” “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Magic Carpet Ride,” “What’s Your Name” and “Anyway You Want It.”
The next day, recharge your batteries by returning to the Exhibit Hall at 8 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, for coffee. Be sure to visit exhibitors and enter the grand prize drawings. Winners will be posted in the Exhibit
Hall at 10:30 a.m. during the Mid-Morning Refresher, which offers assorted treats and beverages.
On Thursday evening, plan to attend the Leadership Recognition Reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Salon A. The reception, open to everyone, features complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages. It’s an excellent time to reconnect with colleagues and an opportunity to meet members of the MHA Board of Trustees, district council presidents and personal membership group presidents. Then, join us for dinner during the annual Installation Banquet honoring MHA’s incoming board chair and recognizing the recipient of MHA’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award, and the recipients of the Visionary Leadership Award.
