Dr. David Blumenthal, national coordinator for health information technology for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has posted “Electronic Health Records and the 21st Century Health Care System.” The column is the first in a series from his office and urges support for establishing electronic health records as the foundation of a modernized, interconnected and vastly improved system of care delivery.
